Step 1: Go to the Website
• Visit https://www.usawmembership.com in your browser.
Step 2: Create or Log Into Your Account
• If you already have a USA Wrestling account, click “Login” at the top right and sign in.
• If you’re new, click “Create Account” and enter:
• Parent/guardian information (for youth athletes)
• A valid email address
• A secure password
*Parents/guardians must create their own account first—youth memberships are linked under their profile.
Step 3: Add a Child Profile
• Once logged in, go to your “Profile” or “Manage Members” section.
• Click “Add New Member” or “Add Family Member.”
• Enter your child’s details:
• Full legal name
• Date of birth
• Gender
• Address
• Club affiliation (if applicable)
Step 4: Purchase a Membership
• From your child’s profile, select “Purchase Membership.”
• Choose the appropriate membership type (usually “Athlete (Youth)”).
• Review options carefully—some states or clubs require specific membership levels.
Step 5: Complete Background/Consent Forms
• You may need to review and sign waivers or consent forms electronically.
• For athletes under 18, the parent/guardian must complete all required signatures.
Step 6: Payment
• Proceed to checkout and pay the membership fee using a credit or debit card.
• Save your receipt for your records.
Step 7: Print or Download the Membership Card
• Once payment is complete, your athlete’s USA Wrestling membership card will be available.
• You can print it or download it as a PDF—many tournaments require this proof of membership.
Step 8: Link the Athlete to a Wrestling Club
1. Log into your USA Wrestling account. Go to the “My Members” or “Manage Members” section.
2. Find your child’s profile and select “Edit” or “Update Club.”
3. Search for your club by name or location, we are AUSTIN TEXAS WRESTLING CLUB
Select the correct club and click “Save” or “Add.”
Step 9: Complete Age Verification (if required)
1. Locate the “Age Verification” option in your account dashboard or under your child’s profile.
2. Upload proof of age, usually one of the following:
• Birth certificate
• Passport
• Government-issued ID
1. Submit the document for review.
• Processing typically takes 1–3 business days.
• You’ll receive an email once approved or if additional documentation is needed.
*Age verification is mandatory for national events and often required by local clubs or state associations.
Step 10: Complete SafeSport Training (if required)
SafeSport training is required for all adult members (coaches, officials, etc.) and strongly recommended for youth athletes ages 13+.
For parents/guardians:
1. From your dashboard, go to “SafeSport” or “Education & Training.”
2. Follow the link to the U.S. Center for SafeSport.
3. Create or log into your SafeSport account.
4. Complete the required course modules.
5. Your completion will automatically sync with your USA Wrestling profile.
For youth athletes (13–17):
• There’s an age-appropriate SafeSport course that can be taken with parental permission.
• Once completed, it will also link to the athlete’s profile.
Step 11: Confirm Membership and Print Card
• Return to your Member Dashboard and confirm your athlete’s membership status shows as “Active.”
• Click “Download/Print Card.”
• Keep a digital or paper copy for tournaments and club registration.
Step 1: Go to the USA Wrestling Website
• Visit https://www.usawmembership.com in your browser and login with your membership credentials.
Step 2: Find an Event
There are two main ways to find tournaments:
Option A: USA Wrestling’s Event Schedule
1. Go to www.usawmembership.com/events or www.usawrestlingevents.com.
2. Browse or search for events by:
o State
o Date range
o Type of event (Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco-Roman, etc.)
Option B: Local/State Wrestling Websites
Many state wrestling associations post USAW-sanctioned tournaments (for example, Illinois Kids Wrestling Federation, Pennsylvania USAW, etc.).
They often link directly to the registration portal.
Step 3: Register for the Event
Once you find your tournament:
1. Click “Register” (you’ll usually be taken to the USAW event portal or Trackwrestling).
2. Sign in using your same USA Wrestling account credentials.
3. Select the athlete you’re registering.
4. Choose the appropriate:
o Division (based on age and grade)
o Weight class
o Style(s) (Folkstyle, Freestyle, Greco)
5. Review and agree to any waivers or tournament-specific terms.
6. Pay the registration fee (typically by credit/debit card).
*Pro tip: Some popular events fill quickly — register as soon as registration opens!
Step 4: Confirmation
After payment:
• You’ll get an email confirmation of your registration.
• The event will also appear under your USA Wrestling dashboard or Trackwrestling “My Events” section.
• You can often view brackets and schedules on Trackwrestling closer to the event date.
Step 5: Day of the Tournament
Bring the following:
• Printed or digital USA Wrestling membership card
• Proof of age (in case required)
• Any weigh-in information or confirmation provided by the event
Arrive early for weigh-ins and check-ins — times vary by tournament.
Step 6: After the Event
Results are usually posted on:
• Trackwrestling.com
• usawrestlingevents.com
You can view your athlete’s results, brackets, and event photos from there.
